Bear Lake Tahoe Lamp nightlight - color changing decorative desktop lamp - Desolation Wilderness Lamp

If you have ever hiked in the Desolation Wilderness, you know how absolutely gorgeous that area and the entire Lake Tahoe basin is. I made this little lamp to honor that area and the bears that inhabit it. The bear is holding a rainbow trout in it’s mouth, represented by beautiful abalone inlay, along with the fish swimming in the stream under the Desolation Wilderness sign.

The light inside is a small color-changing puck light powered by 3 replaceable AAA batteries. It has a remote control so you can change it from across the room, choosing any color you like or let it shimmer through them all. You can also set it on a timer for a mood setting night light, and fall asleep dreaming of high mountain lakes. The iridescent acrylic adds an extra dimension of color to the color-changing light inside, like you are under an aurora borealis sky!
